I had to build a new kernel. On the menuconfig screen, select the following options: Device Drivers -> USB support -> Inventra Highspeed Dual Role Controller/Driver Mode. Select either "USB Peripheral (gadget stack)" or "Both host and peripheral: USB OTG (On The Go) Device" Back on the previous screen ("USB support"), go to "USB Gadget Support". Select as modules: "Mass Storage Gadget" and, if you need USB host on the OTG port, "Gadget Zero (DEVELOPMENT)". Save your configuration and build a new system image, or kernel as usual. Copy the appropriate files to your rootfs. To use the mass storage device driver: modprobe g_mass_storage file=/dev/foo e.g.: modprobe g_mass_storage file=/dev/mmcblk0p2 will provide the host connected to the Overo with a mass storage device that points to /dev/mmcblk0p2. Note that the host is performing operations to this block device "transparently". For example: if mmcblk0p2 is formatted as a FAT32 partition, it will appear as such to the host. If it's formatted as ext3, it will appear as a ext3-formatted disk to the host, etc. Word of advice: unmount the block device to be used by g_mass_storage before using it. g_file_storage is used in a similar way, but the "file=" argument points to a "file-backed storage" file, not to a block device.
