Hi folks, I believe have a need to add wifistix into my build in order to support the wifi features on the Overo Air (please correct me if that is not true!), but I've had a lot of problems in trying to find the precise syntax and expressions for this. At the moment I can get a successful build when I add the following to my recipe :- RDEPENDS_${PN} = "wifistix-modules" PACKAGES += "wifistix-modules" RPROVIDES_wifistix = "wifistix-modules" Again, if any of the above doesn't seem correct, please tell me! This build however, despite reaching end of build, seems to have put *nothing* extra into either the RFS or the modules tarball, compared to the recipe without the wifistix mods. And yet the wifistix stuff *is* being compiled, because I hit a known problem with CFLAGS/EXTRA_CFLAGS and had to introduce a patch in order to get past the compile stage. Assuming that an install phase was required in addition to the above changes, I then added this into the ANGSTROM_EXTRA_INSTALL list :- wifistix \ This had the effect of producing the usual "Nothing PROVIDES wifistix" message that I'd had countless times when trying to find the correct syntax (why is that happening by the way?), so I changed it to :- wifistix-modules \ And now the wifistix stuff fails to compile. I note that the compilation takes place with the default path set to the kernel root (.../linux-omap3-2.6.34-r97/git) and that at the failure, the compile path is explicitly the full path ending .../wifistix-modules-5.016.p0-r97/src_cf8385/io/mf/cf_io.c Among the compile errors are :- pcmcia/version.h: no such file config_info_t undeclared CS_SUCCESS undeclared 'irq_req_t' has no member IR!Info1 'irq_req_t' has no member IR!Info2 'irq_req_t' has no member IR!Info3 too many arguments to function 'pcmcia_parse_tuple' I have searched not only my complete r97 minimal overo-oe tree but also the full build tree that I have built for the r90 console image, and I can find no trace of any file ".../pcmcia/version.h". Is this a missing dependency? What on earth is happening here? Or am I barking up the wrong tree entirely for simple support of Overo Air wifi? All comments appreciated Cheers, Mike -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/how-do-I-add-wifistix-to-my-2.6.34-r97-minimal-build-bitbake--tp31602801p31602801.html Sent from the Gumstix mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
