Some more Google searching turned up the following. People are noticing the same bug in various Ubuntu versions: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/avahi/+bug/655835 It would seem that the Avahi developers have noticed, and fixed the problem: http://git.0pointer.de/?p=avahi.git;a=commit;h=46109dfec75534fe270c0ab902576f685d5ab3a6 How would it be possible to update to the latest Avahi version in OpenEmbedded, where the problem is (presumably) fixed?
