Hi Larry, You might find this Eclipse plugin useful: http://wiki.openembedded.net/index.php/OpenEmbedded_Tools_for_Eclipse_(OTE) It doesn't have a Gumstix setup built in but I test drove it last week against my existing OE Gumstix environment and found that it worked quite nicely. I didn't try out debugging with it however I found the keyword completion and the bitbake recipe assistant quite useful.
