I am also having trouble with the RobostixAdio and Gumstix in OE. When trying to run "i2c-io 0x0b info" i recieve: >> ERROR: I2cTransfer: ioctl failed: Remote I/O error (121) >> ERROR: I2cReadBlock failed >> ERROR: Unable to retrieve information from i2c address 0x0b Also in dmesg: >> <4>i2c: error: exhausted retries >> <4>i2c: msg_num: 0 msg_idx: -2000 msg_ptr: 0 >> <4>i2c: ICR: 000007e0 ISR: 00000002 >> <4>i2c: log: [00000446:000007e0] And while trying to run "uisp" I am returned: >> Probably the AVR MCU is not in the RESET state. >> Check it out and run me again. I have read at:http://docwiki.gumstix.org/index.php/Robostix_gumstix_ISP If you get the following message from running uisp # ./uisp Probably the AVR MCU is not in the RESET state. Check it out and run me again. then you probably forgot to install the jumpers connecting the STUART port to UART-0. Does this pertain to my setup. Heres all of the things I have done to get to where I am now, please let me know if I am missing something or did something wrong. I am using RobostixAudio, Verdex Pro, NetWifi card. 1. I installed the 10k resistor between pins 3 and 4 on the RobostixAudio. 2. Uncommented "MACHINE robostix" and recompile the "bitbake gumstix-basic-image". 3. bitbake robostix, installed i2c-load, i2c-io ipks 4. Powered my gumstix through the Robostix. On my gumstix I can run the fallowing commands, i2c, i2c-load, i2c-io, robostix, uisp. Thanks, Adam M. |
