Thanks Dustin, I have been trying to install the package "robostix" on my buildroot by running "bitbake robostix" but I seem to be stuck at some errors. Check it out <http://docwiki.gumstix.org/index.php/Robostix_i2c_io>. Basically it's a two part program. One part that runs on the ATmega128 and one part that runs on the Gumstix. The combination of the programs allows you to do what you desire I believe though i must admit I haven't used it yet. The /proc/gpio stuff corresponds to gpios which are connected to the gumstix. The 5v gpios on the robostix and robostix-TH are connected to the ATmega128. About the only pins available on the robostix which are connected through to the gumstix are the following: FFUART-TxD FFUART-RxD STUART-TxD STUART-RxD The SCK signal on the robostix connects through to the NSSPCLK on the gumstix. The SDA and SCL signals on the robostix connect through to the SDA and SCL signals on the gumstix.
