Ok, so I have GCC on and running on my gumstix, but I don't have stdio.h so I can't even make "hello world"... I tried getting glibc on, but I have no idea which package to install. Obviously, including "glibc" in gumstix-fro-image.bb doesn't work: # basic gumstix image require ${GUMSTIXTOP}/com.gumstix.collection/packages/images/ gumstix-basic-image.bb PR="r6" IMAGE_INSTALL += "glibc screen gcc make autoconf automake vim ckermit minicom perl tcl vim rsync bitbake \ binutils pkgconfig libtool m4 python gdb strace screen bash linux-libc-headers-dev" because it can't be found. | | Collected errors: | Cannot find package glibc. | Check the spelling or perhaps run 'ipkg update' | There are dozens of glibc ipk's and I don't know enough about glibc to identify which might have stdio.h... I tried greping the ipk's hoping that the file format would have a header with the contents of the package. Didn't find it. So I beg, how do I get STDIO.H on my gumstix? Better yet, answer my original question, "How do I get a toolchain ON my gumstix". I'd like to remind people that there are two ways we can proceed, I can beg the list for answers every time I get stuck and inundate this list with traffic, or someone on the list can answer my original question. I know it's probably trivial to someone, if not everyone else here. I have searched the hell out of google, obviously, because I'm already posted links to instructions that have gotten me this far. I just don't know which combination of arcane keywords is going to endow Google with the *A-W-E-S-O-M-E* *P-O-W-E-R-* to grant me an answer.
