No it seems to be a tad more complex than a simple bitbake mono, so that moved it a lot lower on the list. If anyone does figure out how to build this I'll gladly add it to the repository. Take a look at the mono recipe - it seems to be a multi step process that I feared was going to turn in to a tar-baby :-) Steve On Fri, Mar 14, 2008 at 10:38 AM, rob321 <rob...@gm...> wrote: > > Any luck with that test build? > > > > > Steve Sakoman wrote: > > > > I'll do a test build of mono to see if it completes successfully on > > gumstix-oe. > > > > If it does, I'll add the package to the repository. > > > > Not being a C# guy, I'll leave the testing to others :-) > > > > BTW, if flash space is a concern you can always install to mmc, or > > microSD: > > > > http://www.gumstix.net/User/view/User-how-to-s/Installing-packages-to-MMC/SD/microSD-memory-cards/110.html > > > > CF instructions coming soon, but if you know your way around linux the > > above instructions ought to be enough. > > > > Steve > > > > On Feb 17, 2008 12:09 PM, Simon Vogl <sim...@re...> > > wrote: > >> Jonathan, > >> I have not tried yet on Gumstix, but I did run mono 1.2.6 successfully > >> on another ARM platform (an i.MX31) - there should be no issues > >> to get it running on gumstix as well. > >> > >> Openembedded comes with the right .bb files; it does use considerable > >> flash space though. > >> Simon > >> > >> > >> > >> Jonathan Downey wrote: > >> > So is there no way to develop C# applications for the Verdex using a > >> > freely available compiler such as the C# Express IDE?
