What is it? If it is > generally useful I'll enable it in the build for everyone. It is a third-party patch found in http://www.pabr.org/pxarc/doc/ Is uses some timers in the pxa for soft-realtime to create a kernel-module that does software pwm and ppm -output on gpio-pins. I want to feed the ppm-oufput to the ppm-decoder in an existing rc-receiver to run the paparazzi-autopilot on the gumstix. This way I can switch from the autopilot to normal remote-control with only one pin and to a manual landing of the UAV piloted. (And I only need one wire on the solder-pads of the gpsstix.) The hardware ppms are interesting but I cannot use them because I want to use the quick-capture-interface that uses the same pins. Also it has been made clear on this list that the higher base-frequency of the hardware- ppms on the pxa170 makes them useless for interfacing servos. I already ported the paparazzi-autopilot run as a linux-usermode-program (instead of on it's custom arm or avr - -boards) and am conducting first flight-tests of the airframe. I may write a package-definition for paparazzi. But then again I may not and only modify the compiler-related makefile-definitions in my new paparazzi-build-target and copy that one binary by hand. Thanks Steve! You where most helpfull.
