Don't know about ftdi chip but it seems ok too. But now I discovered how I can log into my gumstix. Firstly, I connect USB cable to ftdi chip. Then I have /dev/ttyUSB0. Secondly, I do #cat /dev/ttyUSB0 and after that I power my gumstix. Then I see booting stuff from cat and when It prints login text and asks for username I hit ctrl-c in cat window. Then I #kermit -l /dev/ttyUSB0 and do that: set carrier-watch off set speed 115200 set stop-bits 1 set parity none set flow-control none set handshake none connect and I can log in ! :D If I exit kermit and disconnect usb then I have to do all that booting stuff again. If I don't exit kermit it creates new device ttyUSB1 and I can't connect to it. Another thing I found is that cat /dev/ttyUSB0 gives garbage some first lines. http://www.nabble.com/file/p14036057/cat_and_kermit.txt cat_and_kermit.txt Then -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/problems-connecting-FT232-logic-level-serial-adapter-tf4349129.html#a14036057 Sent from the Gumstix mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
