If you have a console-vx, then the orange LED won't come on until some circuitry on the motherboard sends a signal (SYSEN) to the daugthercard. For other daugtercards, the power LED will come on even with no motherboard plugged in. > (2) Does the motherboard ship with running linux as stated on the wiki? Yes. But since the actual copy of linux doesn't work with all daughtercards. > (3) My motherboard verdex-bt has bluetooth. Yes - but the default linux shipped on your verdex is for the NetCF-vx, and not the netwifimicrosd, which uses a different network controller, so DHCP won't work because the wrong network adapter is configured. See this page for modications to make the netwifimicrosd work with your verdex: <http://docswiki.gumstix.com/Net-wifi-microusd> > (5) Finally, is there any way to debug whether my verdex board is > running, and whether I am dealing with a h/w issue or a s/w issue? Connect a serial port to the console and see what's printed after powerup. -- Dave Hylands Vancouver, BC, Canada http://www.DaveHylands.com/ |
