hi Gpsstix can act as usb host with verdex. I'm using it right now. You get 11 or 12Mbit/s (full speed and not high speed). With connex or basix boards I don't know but remember hearing that gpsstix usb host works only with verdex. With verdex you can use 24pin connector to get usb host and plug more advanced usb gps receiver there. You can use usb hub to plug more and more devices. I don't know if its 12Mbit/s but believe it is too. Also you need to power verdex board somehow. It has no power input like gpsstix has. You can have cheap serial board with power input - you need that board for making serial communications to verdex too.
