You must connect to the FFUart. Connectthe PC TX to the GS RX, the PC = RX to the GS TX, connect the ground to ground. Thats all I connect. = Now if the Break out uses TTL level signals then you'll need a converter = from TTL levels to RS232 levels. Next you'll need to set the buad rate = correct, andflow control to none. I forget what the buad rate is. HELP! Hi I have been trying to conect my new gumstix Verdex XM4-bt using the = breakout board and a USB->serial dongle. I have tried the FFUART, BTUART = and STUART. The only time i get anything up in hyperterminal is whet im = conected to the BTUART, then i get the following up in my Hyperterminal = window: _=7F_=7F_=7F_=7F Does this mean anything? Is my board fried or am i doing somthing = fundamentaly wrong? I have checked and rechecked the settings in = hyperterminal and the settings in devicemanager for the serial port and = their both "115200 8-N-1" as per the instructions in the wiki. And are = using the correct pinns on the rs232 (2 TXD,3 RXD and 5 GND, also tried = the RTS,CTS on the BTUART) The wiki also mensions somthing about a reset = button, but dos the Verdex bords have this? Hope sombody can help.
