Hey Dave, I did try selecting the essid of test1 (which then successfully gets shortened to test) but it still doesn't connect. On the buildroot explanation page it says to delete a file .cXXXXX (where x is a string of numbers)or the wireless will not be recompiled properly. I did check for this file but could not find it. Could that have caused this problem when building a new image (i.e. the module mcf25 doesn't load on start)? Also where can I add a command so that the mcf25 module gets loaded on start? Is it in the init.d section? Is it just worth building a new file image and seeing if that solves the problem? Thanks again for all your help, Alex Quoting Dave Hylands <dhy...@gm...>: > Hi Alex, > > > If I put the mode into Ad-hoc and try setting the essid, it doesn't > give an > > error except the essid is "tes" not "test".
