Hi there, Following on the previous set of emails about CF card, where should I put the following command such that it gets executed automatically without me typing it every time I want to subsequently mount a CF card? echo vfat >> /etc/filesystems Is the above suggested method any better than what I currently do to mount my CF(see below)?? Thanks Luca ------------------------------------------------------------- create the file /etc/init.d/S95mount_cf make it executable chmod +x S95mount_cf content of S95mount_cf follows ------------------------------------------------------------- #!/bin/sh # # mount the CF card (if possible) # start() { echo "Mounting CF..." /sbin/modprobe ide-disk /sbin/modprobe pcmcia /bin/sleep 10 /bin/mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /mnt/cf cd /mnt/cf if [ -f bootrc ]; then ./bootrc fi } stop() { echo -n "unmounting CF..." /bin/umount /mnt/cf } restart() { stop start } case "$1" in start) start ;; stop) stop ;; restart|reload) restart ;; *) echo $"Usage: $0 {start|stop|restart}" exit 1 esac exit $? |
