Hi Manohar Kaul, Your questions are more likely to get answered if you start a new thread instead of replying to one that has nearly nothing to do with your questions. The power jack is right next to the compact flash socket. The network and compact flash function is a netCF board which connects to the 92 pin connector. There isn't room in the enclosure for a 60 pin connector board. The ethernet is configured to get its address from a DHCP server. You can change this to a static address if you'd like. --- Ken ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Manohar Kaul <man...@gm...> Date: Oct 22, 2006 2:00 AM Subject: Re: [Gumstix-users] py-serial installation To: "General mailing list for gumstix users." <gum...@li...> Hi, I managed to find Netstix which has a network cable on it. How does this device power itself? Also can someone explain what does the fact that I cannot exand the board with a 60-pin or 92-pin expansion board? How does an IP address get assigned to Netstix? Is it accesible from a remote location then? Cheers, MK |
