The NSSP signals aren't used currently by anything, but, they are tied to the PCM audio path on the bluetooth module, and likely will be similarly tied to PCM audio on our GSM boards once those happen. Both the bluetooth and GSM modules have an option to make the audio go another way (analog audio for GSM, or SCO-over-HCI for bluetooth), so you can use the NSSP for other stuff if you want to without running into any trouble.
