So you used buildroot 1088 to build a gdbserver binary for the gumstix. = How do you connect to that? I assume you told buildroot to build a gdb = executable for your host system and you use that? Or do you use the gdb = which came with your host distribution? If the latter, what version of = gdb is that and which distribution do you use? Are you able to debug both statically linked & dynamically linked = executables? Are you using the softfloat library or are you using the = kernel floating point emulator? Very nice to hear someone has got this working.
