Dave, what you describe is working when I am on the same network. How do I access it through a remote location on the internet. I know which port to open in my router to be able to go through without the cable company blocking the access. That is what I did on my Linux box running an Apache server. How do I do it with the GUMSTIX? Thank you. The "typical" way of doing this is to have the web server lauch a program via cgi and the output from the program will be sent to the other side. The stock gumstix ships with a script called ifconfig, which can be found in /var/www/cgi-bin >From your browser, you can request: http://#.#.#.#/cgi-bin/ifconfig Replace #.#.#.# with the IP address of your gumstix. There are lots of other options, but knowing what you're trying to accomplish would allow us to help you better. -- Dave Hylands Vancouver, BC, Canada http://www.DaveHylands.com/ |
