Hi Rodrigo. > i noticed that i2c-adc searchs for the gumstix-buildroot 2.6.11, that means > that its specifically coded for that version as is? (and if i understood it > correctly it just returns how many A/D conversions were achieved, not the > conversions itself right?) i2c-adc was just a test program for evaluating i2c performance. The reference to gumstix-buildroot-2.6.11 was probably there from a time when I had both the 2.6.11 version and a newer version on my machine. You can change it to refer to gumstix-buildroot with no version number. > ok here is the final question, is that all initialization in i2c-adc needed > to use the function I2C_IO_GetADC? i guess it opens the i2c device and set > it in slave mode > I was going to use the i2c-io api and dont do all that "initialization" and > just use the I2C_IO_GetADC as is, but maybe there is the necessity to always > initialize the hardware?? The minimal stuff that you need to do in order to use I2C_IO_GetADC is the following: - open the i2c device - call I2cSetSlaveAddress - now you can call I2C_IO_GetADC -- Dave Hylands Vancouver, BC, Canada http://www.DaveHylands.com/ |
