Hi Larry, > Could the toolchain and gumstix actual kernel version being different hav= e > an effect on how the sockets work? The gumstix is running the tiny stock > 2.6.11 and the toolchain seems to be 2.6.16=85 Yes - ideally you want them both from a matched set. Sometimes they work together when they're matched, sometimes they don't. It depends on the exact set of configuration options being used on both sides. > Or is the toolchain specifically for MMC type builds? Not quite sure what you mean by this. MMC is a card storage device. The toolchain doesn't have any relationship to this that I'm aware of. You've really got three pieces of software talking to each other: 1 - busybox 2 - uClibc (runtime library - built along with the toolchain) 3 - the kernel If all 3 don't cooperate, you won't get the results that you want. --=20 Dave Hylands Vancouver, BC, Canada http://www.DaveHylands.com/ |
