Ok, I just replaced my old 4mb flash connex with a shiny new 16mb version. It booted fine with the "as-shipped" filesystem. Of course I need all of my modified stuff on there. So I went through my usual file system upload steps without a hitch, with the exception of doing a "era 1:2-127" vs. "era 1:2-31" due to the larger flash. However, on restarting I received the following error during boot: Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(31,2) I searched around the mailing list archives and wiki, but couldn't find a reference to this specific panic error. u-boot is fine, and I have gone as far as a "make distclean && make" on my dev box. No luck with as clean a compile as I can manage without completely going back to square one. Thoughts? TIA, Laker __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam?
