I'm using minicom to talk to gumstix boards across null modem cables. The problem I have is that quite often the next few characters of output from the gumstix board is not displayed by minicom until after I press a key or two. Sometimes I have to keep pressing keys to force minicom to read the pending characters and catch up with data already buffered by the serial driver. I've got software and hardware flow control disabled. I've tried with interrupts set and with interrupts set to 0 for polling. In all cases I've never been able to figure this one out. I've learned to use the left arrow key at the shell prompt to force the prompt to appear whenever it fails to show up, as this is fairly harmless keystroke to slam the gumstix with. Thanks for any suggestions. Cheers, Mike |
