I have seen ReactOS before. You could try and compile the code for the ARM CPUs but any hard-coded part that is made specifically for the x86 architecture will fail. I am sure that if you have the time to go through the source code and adapt it suitably, the OS will eventually boot on the gumstix. It would be an excellent educational experience to port another OS to the gumstix (and indeed any other platform) but if you just want to program it for an application, why bother changing the OS?
