Farhan, libpcap is already in the buildroot, with a makefile already there for you. From the base dir of the buildroot (ie gumstix-buildroot/ in your case), just type "make libpcap" and it'll build it and install the header files in the staging directory and the libs as necessary. You can then probably copy the make/tcpdump.mk to make/ arpd.mk and edit it to do what arpd needs as far as it's different from tcpdump. You can also add libpcap/arpd then as TARGETs in the top-level buildroot Makefile.
