Guessing that most bluetooth dongles/software are pretty similar, setting up a bt serial connection in windows is simple. I just installed the software that came with the dongle over top of the genaric windows bluetooth drivers. Then the software was able to discover the bluetooth device, which then gave the option to open a serial connection. I then open a serial connection from hyperterminal on the same port as the bt one and transfer away just as though the devices were wired. It works with a standalone bt module, so I'd assume this should work with the bt gstx. I've had a little too much coffee this morning, so I don't know if that makes sense ;) Jake On 26 Aug 2005, Brad Midgley wrote: > Dave, > > Out of the box, your gumstix will try to connect to a bluetooth access > point (using the pin 1234) and it will also attach a login process to a > bluetooth rfcomm port. > > Once you know the bluetooth address of your gumstix, use it with channel > 1 to connect to gumstix. > > I'm not sure how you create the bluetooth serial port on windows.
