We'd love to do it, but the number one engineering priority now is to make sure we have a range of high-quality expansion boards and that really takes time. Actually, I think I can be more specific about the pipeline. Here's what we're up to. I **think** our list reflects what you want in your systems. I've broken out what we think of as our 3 groups of customer requirements: network devices, portable devices and electromechanical systems. I can say that every one of these boards is at some stage of design and testing. Network devices: 1) Ethernet connectivity + MMC storage 2) At least a dual-ethernet board 3) Ethernet connectivity + MMC storage Portable systems: 1) GPS 2) Recharageable batteries 3) WiFi direct instead of via CF. Electromechanical systems: 1) Well, the robostix ! A/D, Servo, GPIO, and power controls all on one board with standard headers. 2) Much better header systems on the breakout boards (such as what we've done for the Robostix) Overall, I think the following features cut across all 3 segments: 1) More flash memory 2) Stackability without interference (like using a tweener with etherstix) 3) Better stability (mounting hardware) 4) USB Host capability 5) LCD. I'm sure I'll get comments about oversights-- I'm ready! Gordon |
