Hi All, I was trying to use Seagull(1.8.2) as a *Diameter *server for the Cx interface. In response to a MAR request, the script needs to send a *MAA response* with “*Digest-HA1*” AVP (part of the grouped SIP-Digest-Authenticate AVP, which in turn is part of the SIP-Auth-Data-Item AVP) that contains H(A1). The Diameter Client(CSM) can use H(A1) to calculate the expected Digest response, according to this challenge. Based on Seagull Documentation, I tried both ways i.e. SIP authentication and Radius authentication, but couldn’t succeed in getting HA1 calculated as expected. When I tried the SIP Authentication way as below in my scenario file, it threw “2021-10-21.07:20:19.790|T|E_ACTION_SCEN_SET_VALUE_METHOD_EXTERN: problem when using external method (md5 or AKA)” error. <set-value name="Digest-HA1" method="authenticationSip" format="username=alice;password=12345;auth=Digest realm=\"open-ims.test\", algorithm=MD5;method=REGISTER;uri=sip:testuri.com"></set-value> When I tried the Radius Authentication way as below in my scenario file, I see* junk value* being set for Digest-HA1 AVP. <set-value name="Digest-HA1" method="authenticationRadius" message_part="all" format="shared_secret=9000000009@open-ims.test:open-ims.test:12345"></set-value> AVP: Digest-HA1(121) l=24 f=-M- val=a\024\r\030,.\032\b AVP Code: 121 Digest-HA1 AVP Flags: 0x40, Mandatory: Set AVP Length: 24 Digest-HA1: a\024\r\030,.\032\b I tried a few combinations like hard coding few/all parameters, reading from the previous message with the action “store” etc. but couldn’t succeed. Attaching scenario/dictionary files for your reference. Can you please suggest if you are aware of any method (like crypto_method_radius for Radius Auth) which I can use to set Digest-HA1 AVP. Thanks in advance. Thanks, Agnivesh K |

Hello All, I am using TCP for transport protocol and trying to overload my target system with seagull however, I hit to 5K TPS limit with TCP. 5K total TPS is same either I use one seagull server with 5K or two seagull servers 3K+2K. It doesnt increase with multiple seagull clients. Do you know if this could work with higher TPS if SCTP is used? If I try to increase the TPS more, I start to see the following errors at Seagull screen: send failed [-1] [Resource temporarily unavailable] Flow control not implemented send failed [-1] [Resource temporarily unavailable] Flow control not implemented send failed [-1] [Resource temporarily unavailable] Flow control not implemented I need to have 20K TPS with a kind of solution. Additionally, I tried to use sctp for transport but failed to run it because of kernel sctp module. I dont know how to disable it yet. Kernel SCTP and Seagull sctp. Which of them could be performing better and could it be possible to choose one of them for seagull? Best Regards, Koray G. |

Hi Team, Did you guys ever come across in establishing Seagull as HSS for DSR Testing. I have invested significant amount of time in establishing MultiHoming SCTP connection between DSR & (SeaGull-HSS) but no luck. Appreciate if you can take a look and suggest from your previous experience or check internally with SMEs. Sharing configuration & Scenario file. In Init_ack SeaGull is not sending Secondary IP. However, I am able to establish multihoming when Seagull acting as a MME. Regards, -Rakesh Sharma |

Hi, is it possible to configure Seagull scenario conditionally? Like to change following requests if service authorization failed in initial request for example? Actually it would be needed to check some avp value with result code in received response and then adapt some other values in following requests. Best regards! Igor |

Hi David, Thanks a lot, this worked. The AVP was already defined as OctetString, I was earlier entering the actual value and tried different ways to add quotes and it failed. Now, I took the string converted it to hex and added '0x' as prefix and tried. This way seagull is actually sending out the quotes in the AVP value. <avp name="Identifier" value="0x7265663d2275726e25334175726e2d37253341336770702d736572766963652e696d732e6963736922"> </avp> Thanks again. Hello, I am setting up seagull to use for Rx interface and I am running into an issue with an AVP that has quotes in the value itself. Is there an escape character I can use in seagull scenario xml file that will actually send the avp value with the quote in it? Ex: <avp name="Identifier" value="ref="urn%3Aurn-7%3A3gpp-service.ims.icsi""> </avp> (Note the quotes after 'ref=' and after 'icse', they are part of the avp value itself). Any one able to get this working? Thank you in-advance. Regards. |

Hello, I want to try scenario where I need to send CCRu after 180 seconds of receiving CCAi. I have updated the scenario file accordingly to create the delay. But the problem is the simulator doesnt responds with DWA to the DWR it receives from the server. Please help me to send the DWA. Attaching the scenario and wireshark trace. Regards, Shantiprakash |

I mean I know they happen but they are not meaning anything important to me, can i silence them? Many thanksLuis |
