Hi, I still use libgpod with Strawberry Music Player, which is a fork of Clementine. https://github.com/strawberrymusicplayer/strawberry I got 2 working iPod Classics that work with the library. I think one is a 5th gen and one is a 6th gen. The 6th gen is almost unused as I found I could not use RockBox on it at the time, so I mostly used the 5th gen to be able to play FLAC. I'm willing to help keeping the library and gtkpod alive. It would be a shame if the library and gtkpod was dropped from distros. Firstly we should fix the webpages. http://www.gtkpod.org/libgpod/ is up but has a lot of broken links, I think it has been like that for years. I'm willing to do it we someone could can get the contact details of the owner. I suggest moving the git repositories to GitHub which has a larger community, it would be easier to get contributions that way. I can help with the transition. I can also help making sure it still compiles and works so it doesn't get dropped, occasionally making a bug fix release. My username on sourceforge is jonasio, my username on GitHub and GitLab is jonaski. Let me know what you think.
