Yeah this part is a bit messy, the ipod name can be found in the fat
filesystem label, and it's also the master playlist name. We can
change the latter, but I don't think there's an integrated way of
changing the former. If Nautilus uses this, this explains why it can't
be changed.

Hmm, I'd have to dig in the code to figure out why it's doing that.
Fwiw, I've seen your questions on IRC, but you were present between
2am and 6am my time, so not the best time to find me awake :) In
particular, the case sensitivity of smart playlist rules has changed
