[Gtkpod-devel] updates for LTS release?

	I notice none of the updates for gtkpod are being released for Long
Term Service versions of Ubuntu (latest one is 10.04).  Will they be, or
do they all require features available only to later versions?

Sorry, can you be a little more specific. As far as gtkpod goes, the
2.0.2 release is gtk2 while the next release, which is 2.1.0 is gtk3.

I believe that mfv is trying to get an updated version included in
debian upstream but is being delayed by me not getting around to
releasing 2.1.0 ;)

There are unofficial debs of later versions kicking around on launchpad
and on the project page on sourceforge.

Yep, you said it right... I'm trying :-)
Last GTK2-based version of gtkpod is going to be overwritten by the new 
GTK3-based 2.1.0 version, once it's ready, packaged and uploaded.

AFAIK, there's no backports of latest gtkpod against LTS versions of 
Ubuntu... but I must admit that I hadn't searched too much ;-)
Larry, you could try to package by yourself or give me enough time to 
try to backport it for 10.04 in a cowbuilder environment, even though I 
can't promise to succeed; I'm not so good with Ubuntu :-P

In general, it is a problem running an up-to-date version of gtkpod on an
old Ubuntu since there are many dependencies that use specific versions in
Ubuntu dependencies, and backporting gtkpod may break things...
