Ever since gtkpod 2.x the application eats up 100% CPU for a long time, even with simple UI actions.
The behaviour can be seen with actions like:
- Selecting a playlist
- Selecting a track
- Opening the add file dialog
- etc.
gtkpod: 2.1.1
OS: Ubuntu 11.10 (32 bit)
Device: iPod Classic
Let me know if you need any more information.
Can you tell me your plugin configuration so I can understand if it is a specific plugin causing this. I have tried to repeat it on my one test machine but CPU seems at 70% the most (and only when adding a number of tracks). However, I am adding to a local repo and not an actual ipod so can you let me know this configuration too.
Thanks

I'm using a default set of plugins, supplied by gtkpod.
The enabled plugins are:
- Details Editor
- Exporter
- Info Display
- MP4 File Type
- Photo Editor
- Repository Editor
- Sorttab Display
- Video File Type
This isn't the default enabled set of plugins, but the issue also occurred at first run.
What do you mean by "can you let me know this configuration"? Do you want me to test if the issue occurs if I'm adding to a local repos?
If so: I added a set of tracks to a local repos and the issue did not occur. It wasn't, however, a collection as large as the one on my iPod due to bug #3477268.
Should be greatly improved with 2.1.2. The beta 1 is available for download.
