gtkmonop has hit 0.3.0! This release required libgmonopd 0.3.0, which is available at http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/libgmonopd. Tons of new features have been added (starting servers, pretty resizable graphics, a semblance of stability...)
Theme support is finally in gtkmonop. Any aspiring theme author is encouraged to grab the CVS tree, look at the themes/default tree, and construct a theme to e-mail to me <ebourg@po-box.mcgill.ca> ;)
gtkmonop 0.2.0 is available fresh off of gtkmonop's project download page.
New to this release include:
* the ability to actually play a complete game without running into server showstoppers
* pretty icons
* a somewhat useable interface :p
Please keep in mind that you'll need monopd (http://sf.net/projects/monopd) to host monopoly games. A monopd v0.2 server is running pretty much permanently on fishninja.com:1234.
For automatic gtkmonop updates, add this line to your sources.list:
deb http://fishninja.com/debian ./
I've added an RPM to download in the file release section; note that this is *NOT* an 0.2-release despite the filename (alien wanted to call it that, who am I to argue :p)
I'm going to make up a deb fairly regularly from now on. This is for people who want the latest gtkmonop but don't want the sourcecode; I'm keeping it binary-only because I want people to download the CVS tree instead of some outdated tarball.
July 10 deb released! :D
A deb file of the current CVS tree as of 07/08/2001.
Updated to work with monopd and kmonop 0.1.0.
And there was great rejoicing!
I've played with gtkmonop quite a bit, Real Progress has been made. Graphics are implemented, all that really needs to be done is the netcode, daemon, and hooks between the netcode and the client.
