I think it's actually size of the Gtk+ dlls that is bothering you. Yes,
it's 10mb or so and there's not a lot we can do about that. Of course
you only have to have that 10mb installed once on any computer for any
number of programs that use Gtk+.
Also, it does compress down quite well if it's download size you're
worried about. Take this example:
which is an installer for a Gtk2Hs program (and it includes all the
necessary Gtk+ dll files) and it weighs in at 3.5mb which is fairly
reasonable I think. It's a tad bigger than an ordinary Gtk2Hs program
too because it uses the Gtk+ OpenGL extension which requires another
couple dll files.
