Hello gtk2hs experts, I have built and installed gtk2hs for ghc-6.6 under Linux (in order to use new ghc-6.6 features and gtk), but I (to be more exact: my students) would like to work under Windows. I (believe I) have already read the information about the windows build in FAQ and the web pages, but did not succeed building gtk2hs under Windows. The system I tried with has mingw and msys installed; I already installed an up2date gtk. I tried to ./configure several times in an msys shell, trying different options for the c-compiler (CC=...) . Giving no CC did not succeed (I believe it should, perhaps a misconfiguration of msys simply). Could you give a brief description of what I need to type in (apart from simple configure --prefix=... && make && make install) and how the build should go/look like? Are there any tricks I should know? And a second, perhaps very simple, question: Is there a replacement for the former Mogul module(s) We have a Haskell+gtk2hs software for analysing program execution traces, which has been written for gtk2hs-0.9.8, and uses the mogul module Do you have a quick solution to this, e.g. "import module graphics.UI.Gtk.Blah" instead? Or do I have to look up all functions in the API? Best, Jost Berthold |
