I've decided to check '--disable-gio' flag and revealed (predicted)
compilation problem. Does this configure switch still have sense?

If it does I can try to forge some trivial fixes for such case.

$ ./configure --disable-gio --with-hcflags=-O0
$ make
...
./mk/chsDepend -iglib:cairo::gtk gtk/Graphics/UI/Gtk/Display/Image.chs
could not find System/GIO/Types.chs on search path glib cairo  gtk
make: *** [gtk/Graphics/UI/Gtk/Display/Image.dep] Error 1
