The linker errors suggest that a modules within the gtk package refer to symbols that should also be in the gtk package. I think there must have been something wrong when building the Graphics.UI.Gtk.Types module, maybe the process was killed due to lack of resources, but the build didn't stop. a) You could try to configure with --disable-split-objs . This should result in a built that's less resource hungry. b) If that doesn't help, could you do a rm gtk/Graphics/UI/Gtk/Types.chs then do a 'make' and check the output for errors? Most of the library will be rebuilt, unfortunately. You could try to do a 'make tk/ Graphics/UI/Gtk/Types.o' first.
