ReportedBy: not...@gm... QAContact: gst...@li... GNOME version: Unspecified GNOME milestone: Unspecified It seems the 10Hz python_do_pending_calls timeout added in init_gst is redundant now, since anyone running a glib mainloop in a gst-python app will be using gtk.main() or gobject.MainLoop.run(), so the pygtk or pygobject signal watch will be running. The timer causes any app that loads the gst module, such as rhythmbox (the python bindings expose some GStreamer details) to wake up 10 times per second, which tends to make people unhappy these days. -- See http://bugzilla.gnome.org/page.cgi?id=email.html for more info about why you received this email, why you can't respond via email, how to stop receiving emails (or reduce the number you receive), and how to contact someone if you are having problems with the system.
