Yes lets put it into the plugin struct. I definitely want it plugin global. Thats what I menat wit my last comment (that there wouldn't be 173 times the info). So this could look like: gst_plugin_set_external_dependency_info(plugin, "/usr/lib/ladspa:/usr/local/lib/ladspa",".so,.so2","LADSPA_PLUGIN_PATH",FLAG_NONE); (yes *.so2 is nonsense). Dunno if it also make sense to have a flag that defines wheter the env-var that holds a path too would be prefered over the path, prepended or appened to the path.
