Actually, I don't know why callbacks are declared static. Are there any online resources that I can use to find additional information regarding this? Thanks. There is nothing wrong in declaring static, it's even recommended for your app's internal functions, as long as you know why it's declared that way. Otherwise, you may end up debugging strange linking errors for no apparent reason ;). I suppose it was meant that way in original code, also function's name (cb_manipulate) is typical for app's callbacks - begins with cb_ and has no "namespace" prefix.
