Changes compared to v3.0.22: * The "+" (Add) control in the text layer and annotations editor is now disabled until a rectangle has been drawn or selected, and shows a tooltip explaining that one is needed, instead of silently doing nothing or placing a box at an unpredictable position. * You can now draw the selection rectangle directly in the text layer or annotations pane, as well as on the image. A single rectangle is shared between the image and the layer panes, so adding or correcting a slice no longer requires drawing it on the image tab first. * The selection rectangle is no longer remembered across application launches. A stale selection from a previous session is no longer drawn over a freshly opened document, so you can start selecting immediately instead of having to clear a leftover box first. The selection still persists while you work, e.g. across page changes, within a session. * Cropping no longer fails with a confusing internal error when the selection is invalid (e.g. has zero or negative width). An empty or corrupted selection is rejected with a clear message instead of leaving the page unchanged mid-operation. * A page that no longer exists in the document (for example one lost after an interrupted scan) is now removed from the page list the first time it fails to load, instead of being reported as missing on every display. The view shows a valid page (or clears if none remain), and the remaining pages are renumbered to stay consecutive. * Fix error preventing running OCR from Tools menu Available on Github: https://github.com/carygravel/scantpaper/releases/tag/v3.0.23 Or via the PPA: https://launchpad.net/~jeffreyratcliffe/+archive/ubuntu/ppa |
