Greetings fellow DS-940DW linux users! I just got my 940DW to upgrade my workflow from attaching via usb cable to using its builtin wifi. I'll probably keep a script running on an RPI in the basement to detect when something is put in the scanner, and scan it, ocr it, and automatically file it and then just keep the scanner in the kitchen where the receipts pile up so they can be scanned even without opening my laptop. You guys have had a couple years headstart with this scanner compared to me so i thought I'd ask if you had any tips? I use mostly scanimage and scanadf these days. gscan is good for piecing together large multipage documents but most of what i scan are single page docs that script well with ocrmypdf and convert. I'm excited to be able to scan in the extra long mode, but it kind of stinks that it can only scan one sided in extra long mode. Is there a unique exit code when the document is longer than the scanner can process? so perhaps that exit code would be my script's trigger to use single-sided-extra-long mode in the next scan?
