[gscan2pdf-help] Inserting text to text level?

Hi,

I'm working with v2.13.4 on LM 22.2 Cinnamon with Kernel 6.8.0-87-generic.

In a row of scans of handwritings I'd like to insert transcriptions into 
the text level to make the contents searchable.
So far I can't activate OCR on them and there is no way to type in the area.

Is there any workaround?
