In ~/.gscan2pdf there were two defect lines in the page format lines: <> </> After edited and repaired this I again get the error message when scanning with the own page format: This time I did not enter a new page format, I just selected the old one and pressed "scan", then this error occurred and again there are those defect lines in ~/.gscan2pdf, the next start shows: $VAR1 = { 'ocr panel' => '642', 'frontend' => 'scanimage', 'Paper' => { 'US-Letter' => { 'l' => '0', 'y' => '279', 'x' => '216', 't' => '0' }, 'US-Legal' => { 'l' => '0', 'y' => '356', 'x' => '216', 't' => '0' }, 'meine' => { 'l' => '0', 'y' => '210', 'x' => '140', 't' => '0' }, '<>' => '', 'A4' => { 'l' => '0', 'y' => '297', 'x' => '210', 't' => '0' }, '</>' => '' }, ... *** unhandled exception in callback: *** Can't use string ("") as a HASH ref while "strict refs" in use at /usr/bin/gscan2pdf line 4522. *** ignoring at /usr/bin/gscan2pdf line 1006. *To reproduce the error:* _*Scanning with "Din A4" brings with "--debug":*_ $VAR1 = []; $VAR1 = { 'l' => 0, 'y' => 297, 'mode' => 'Color', 'resolution' => '150', 'x' => 210, 't' => 0 }; scanimage --device-name='genesys:libusb:004:004' --mode='Color' -l 0 -y 297 --resolution='150' -x 210 -t 0 --batch --progress --batch-count=1 Forked PID 21227 Importing out1.pnm, format Portable anymap Added /tmp/3gyunJHgig/KzRlNMK2zF.pnm at page 1 with resolution 150 Waiting to reap process at /usr/bin/gscan2pdf line 3670. Reaped PID 21257 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ It seems that the page format that I entered is not correct in the variables... When I open the paper size window with "edit", there is always a new line that I did not enter: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Now I tried to delete ~/.gscan2pdf an reinstall gscan2pdf but the same errors are happening...
