Hi, I know this isn't specific to GScan2PDF, so it's kind of off-topic, but I really need this application to work for me. I have a bunch of documents I need to scan... I installed the latest GScan2PDF (from Jeffrey Ratcliffe's PPA [1]) on a fresh install of Ubuntu 18.04 (based on the GNOME Desktop), Whenever I open the Scan dialog sub window, I cannot browse the menus (say, to open the Crop Tool after a scan). So, I installed the Unity Desktop (package: ubuntu-unity-desktop) and switched to a Wayland / LighDM based session (like on Ubuntu 16.04), Now, all works as expected - problem solved... I guess it has to do with the GNOME / GDM desktop. Can any of you tell me how to make it worg on GNOME? Thanks! Amichai [1] https://launchpad.net/~jeffreyratcliffe/+archive/ubuntu/ppa |
