[gscan2pdf-help] v2.1.0: (No) Saving of Scan-profiles (lean version)

Hi Jeff,

there's kind of a dejavu: While opening Gscan2pdf the scan-profile bar
is empty, though two different settings are saved (taken over from a
previous version).

During a logged session I started Gscan2pdf (scanprofile bar empty,
though last settings active), scanned one page in colour mode (as in
last session) and saved the file to disk.
Then I changed to greyscale, scanned another page and saved the file to
disk.
My attempt to save this setting (e.g. as "Einzug 150 Farbe") by clicking
on "Save" did not result in anything.
The compressed log is 190 kB, some 60.000 lines.

While checking the log for personal data I found "DEBUG - Started
setting profile from Einzug 150 to undef" in lines 51.850 and 61.041.
This might explain the empty bar.

As well I find multiple calls for "Sane->get_option_descriptor returned:
$VAR1 = bless( {", eg. in lines 821, 6.287, 15.390, 24.481, 33.569,
42.793 and even more calls for "'desc' => 'Gamma-correction table for
the red" and the other tables, eg. in lines 1.152, 2.972, 4.793, 6.612
etc., and 33 more times through just two scans.

Sometimes - not this time - I experience a change in page size settings
also from "A4" to "Maximum", though only the scan method was changed
from/to colour.
