Hi Rainer,

I have Kooka which scans to many picture formats - but no pdf, and, no TIFF. I 
have tried a jpg, though, and I can import that into gscan2pdf no problem. I 
imported a pdf, too, and saved the lot as a multipage pdf. Couldn't be 
easier, and it too worked fine.
Hmm, I started gscan2pdf --debug in a console, but for some reason, now it 
won't recognize my Scanner, but only my webcam - odd...
Ah! After I closed Kooka, it worked. The popup message I got (immediately 
after hitting "Scan" reads:
"unbekannte Nachricht: scanimage: open of device artec_eplus48u:libusb:002:004 
failed: invalid argument"
Diese Ausgabe sagt mir jetzt mal gar nichts - geht schon los mit "unbekannte 
Nachricht" - das ist ja fast Windowisch - ich weiß zwar nicht, was ich sagen 
soll, aber ich sag's mal trotzdem...
Wenn ich mich recht erinnere, hab ich den Scanner übrigens mit ndiswrapper 
eingerichtet, der ging zuerst mal überhaupt gar nicht. Kann das was damit zu 
tun haben?
