Duplex works only at 100 DPI

I have a Brother DS 740D and I am using gscan2pdf because auto document size and auto deskew are very useful.
The issue is that I use this scanner with gscan based on some configuration doesn't work instead if I use XSane everything works.
Let me explain:
Attached there is also the log when doesn't crash.
Xsane doesn't have this problems but is not able to auto document size/deskew and is not UI comfrotable like gscan2pdf.
You've got quite a few warnings in the log file. Some of them probably have nothing to do with your duplex problem, but let's try to fix them one at a time.
Please run the following from the command line:
and post the out.txt file.
File attached, I am not using OCR (it is disabled) so honestly I don't care so much of fonts but if this can help on fixing issues there are no problems :-D
Thanks for that. Please try the attached .deb, which should fix most of the warnings I could see in your log file.
If you still have the duplex resolution problem, please give me a new log file from the (attached) v2.7.0-2 release.
Log attached with the same error as before on using duplex.
Apologies for the delay in responding.
I don't see any errors in the log file, other than the "invalid argument" you get when starting the scan.
You say that the auto document size/auto deskew options are not available with XSane. These are backend options - i.e. they are offered by the Brother (SANE) driver, and just displayed by gscan2pdf.
Please try deactivating auto document size and auto deskew options and see if you can duplex scan at other resolutions.
If you can, the problem is with the Brother driver.
Well with xsane duplex is working also at higher DPI but gscanpdf is working just at 100dpi.
The issue that natively the deskew is not working with both, so if I do single scans with gscan2pdf at 600dpi with deskew enable everything is fine.
For me is not clear if deskew is by the printer or it is somethign that the software can do anyway.
