gscan2pdf paper size selection inoperative

I still can't get page-size selection to work. When I try to switch from "US Letter" to "US Legal" or "A4", there is no change in the scanned area. I have to use the Manual selection and change the limits manually. Selecting an named page size at least used to update the "Manual" limits, so that toggling between, say, Legal and Manual and back to Legal would set the size, but now that has no effect, either.
Fedora 31, gscan2pdf 2.6.4 (the Fedora distributed version). I mostly scan with a
Fujitsu iX500, though occasionally with an HP 8720.
I should note that this may be related to closed ticket #163. I have never seen page selection work correctly, but I have not used all intervening versions.
This works flawlessly here with an HP OfficeJet 6500, and had done, barring occasional bugs, since it was introduced.
Please start gscan2pdf from the command line with
scan with one page size (e.g. A4), change it to another (e.g. US letter), can again, quit, and post the compressed log file that should be automatically created (e.g. log.xz).
I have updated to 2.6.5 from Fedora "updates-testing". Using Fujitsu iX500.
I have repeated the above test using an HP 8720.
Are the geometry settings seen in "Manual" intended to match the last pre-defined geometry selected? That is, if I select "US Letter" and then "Manual", should the displayed settings match the size of "US Letter"? I see this matching when I use the HP 8720 as the scanner, but NOT when I use the Fujitsu iX500. In the latter case, some "Manual" values update and not others. That may be a clue.

Unfortunately, this is not the same as bug 348, which was caused by the backend setting SANE_INFO_INEXACT
Your scanner is not doing this.
Thanks. I guess that means I should standby...
No. I apologize. On closer look, the fujitsu is also returning SANE_INFO_INEXACT. So that should also be fixed. The problem with the HP is different, though.
Have you been able to update to v2.6.7 to test the fix?
If the problem persists, please post another log file from the new release.
No appology needed. As I review my test, above, the HP worked fine, with the geometry changing as expected. Perhaps the log file shows some remaining issue, but I included it for comparison: Fujitsu not working, HP working. The two devices have quite different capabilities, and display correspondingly different options in the various tabs, so it is not surprising that they stress different aspects of gscan2pdf.
I still don't know whether the settings seen in "Manual" are intended to track the last-selected page size chosen with one of the pre-set sizes (US Letter, US Legal, A4). The HP shows complete tracking, while the Fujitsu does not, as noted above. What behavior is expected?
Thank you for your continued support.
I have just tested with 2.6.7. I can report that the geometry settings now work as expected. Thank you.
I have retested with the HP OfficeJet Pro 8720, and as before, the page selection still works for flatbed, ADF and ADF-Duplex scans.
I have retested with the Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500, and it now works perfectly switching between US legal and US letter.
I note that when I select a pre-set size, such as US Letter or US Legal, that subsequently selecting Manual now displays the dimensions of the of the last-selected pre-set. That is a nice confirmation that gscan2pdf is responding to the selection of a pre-set geometry.
Thanks again for fixing this.
Thanks for the confirmation
