Memory use when generating PDF downsampling to 300 PPI
Brought to you by:

gscan2pdf uses too much memory (RES>4.5GB) when generating a PDF of 84 pages while downsampling to 300 PPI (the images are scanned to 600 PPI), and is killed by kernel.
The problem is reproducible, but it's not reproducible when runing with --log option, so the atached log does not show the errors.
If i choose to generate djvu, or to not downsample, the memory consumtion is normal and output is generated.

gscan2pdf log
Do you still have this problem? If you start from the command line without the --log=log option, do you get any errors in the terminal window?
